CFA of Erie County Photo Gallery
In 1938 Cystic Fibrosis was identified and named, and for may, years children died young. In 1942 the first test was developed to identify CF. Over the past 78 years, mutations and treatments of CF have improved significantly, helping to expand life expectancy. While infants once born with CF weren’t likely to survive past the first year, today they are thriving, living well into adulthood and experiencing all life has to offer.
